About the author.. ;) i mean
"me"

Hey, before actually starting with my blogs, I wud prefer to give an intro about myself n wot actually made me become a blogger... I don’t know how many will be actually interested in knowing this but m still writing for very simple reason “I just want to “ :)

Me in my words:
  • A telecom professional working in a reputed software company in India, trying to do something called as “telecom testing
A “bangalorean” now, m sure I will say “proud bangalorean” after a few more months pass by... too good a place to live in if u can actually forget about THE BIG TRAFFIC JAMS..
  • Was a “proud and happy Mumbai’ite” till a few months back... Spent the most memorable part of my life there...
  • Hail from South India, but lived most of my life in north eastern n central ( well..not exactly central) part of India. And now am somehow in the South. Though basically from south, I cannot say "am now back in south" since was never in this part in childhood... Hey do u know? I have a foreign origin? ie. was born in a foreign land.... Hmm keep guessing where it was.... ( I wont reveal the fact that it was actually " Bhutan".. I know, wen u say foreign, u tend to think UK, US n all... Ise kehte hein " khoda pahad nikla chuha ;)")

Well, there was me, till a few yrs back who used to know absolutely nothing about the interesting n vast world of bloggers n blogs, was even unware of its existance..
Came to know thru some friends who were actually very active in the blogger world and are very renowned (is wot I have heard about them and I actually believe it!!).. I used to read their blogs but used to be happy being just a mute spectator who didn’t even used to bother to leave a comment...
Not because the blogs were not good but because I didn’t know the importance of a comment den... It is termed as “comment” but actually is a compliment, suggestion, views n much more... that gives more insight to the writer about the topic other than, of course, strengthening his/her confidence n boosting his/her morale..

I have no experience in writing other than just writing some "good morning mails" to my friends grp, looooongs mails (which I enjoy writing ) to some close friends, few testimonials in orkut n of course some poems n stories in college competitions.

Well, now don’t think that I am a poet or a story writer… I used to participate in only those competitions which were in Hindi, be it elocution, poem writing or story writing or wotever...not because I had the talent in me but just because of my “knowledge of our national language...” (thanks to my dads job and my upbringing). Well, it is a pity, I know, but in Kerala (u can actually add on the rest of the south Indian states too in this list), not many are fluent with this language, Hindi. So I used to have an edge over them n used to guarantee a prize for my house atleast in Hindi competitions :)
Once I got second prize in Hindi elocution and I was pretty happy as it was nice to know that there were more ppl who knew the language at least... Well, came to know later that even that participant was born n brought up outside Kerala...

Oops, I wandered away from the topic... (that is one of my drawbacks, start somewhere, reach somewhere n end up wondering how to end n where. Result: too long a mail :( )...

Well, till a few months back, I used to be driven by my so called intuition. There never used to be any logical reasons for wot I said or did or felt. Had nothing wotsoever to do with the big thing called as “thinking”. One of my friends used to do that for me and I was pretty happy and comfortable that way... I have these three close friends who actually have a “bimari of thinking and analyzing” anything and everything that comes their way. Well, didn’t know then that it was a “thinking bug” that I guess now has been passed on to me too... (“Bug “, I know all testers would love to find one but a developer wud hate to get one to be fixed!!)... Well, this is actually a different kind of bug which I am happy with, even though m at the receiving end :)

Sometime back, it so happened that one of my friends said a plain compliment about my writing (mails) style that “it has actually improved a lot”. And another friend, with whom m just in the beginning phase of befriending (thru mails) who said that “I liked your mail. Its very sweeeeet. You can become very good writer.” (I know u guys must be wondering who are these ppl jinhone mujhe itna khatarnaak idea diya?.. Well, I won’t reveal, I know u will beat them for sure ;)

Well, I guess I took those sentences too seriously n too literally n here I am, trying to write my first ever blog :).. who knows, one day i might become a gr8 writer n may become the winner of the "booker prize".. Well, my annadata at one time, Mr. dhirubhai Ambani has said "think big, think high, Ideas are nobody's monopoly".. That was my inspiration for thinking sooooooooo high.. if he was alive, m sure he wud have taken his words back ;)

Had read somewhere that u shud use simple language wen u write or talk as it conveys the feelings better rather than wen made to sound complicated with too tough a language... M going to use this policy...( I hope this statement will cover up for my not so good writing style n pathetic vocabulary, not that bad but nothing impressive about it either..)

I don’t have a gr8 GK, no interest in current affairs n stuff... so my topics will mostly be about, some incidences that happened, wot I felt, wot I thought, human nature n all ie. mostly things that happen in our everyday life but things n their importance v fail to notice ...

Have no idea about any rules n regulations of blogging so its gonna be “free form writing” like the “free form testing” where u r not actually tied up with the limited test cases and test plans..

In short they are going to be some of my thoughts... just penned down for who so ever wishes or rather bothers/ cares to read...

Typical of Asha... Really long, it took 2 days to complete your blog. But the way you wrote was great. I wonder if our former PM had to read this blog then how many days he would have taken. Good Start.
Keep it up...

Well i would like to compliment you for all the efforts you have put to write the blogs.
One think i liked in this blog is the way it is narrated and the captions you have selected which i felt is the most appropriate that one can think off and also thechoice of your snaps that have been inserted are excellent.
since this was your first blog i would like to rate you 8 out of 10 but still there is scope for improvement wrt narration(not to deviate from the topic) and spellings.
Good, all the best and keep up your good work.

Well im not posting a comment here coz i have already conveyed my comments to the writer but i guess there are certain things which are missing in the profile of Ms Asha Dass. One of the top performers from MG University, a good poet and a really good friend - im sure these qualities are rarely found together in one person.

Asha in a single line is
"friendship personified"

hey thanks binoy for that comment..
ya will try to implement ur comment that u told me about my blog too..
waise, dont u think that u have told too many good things about me which may be i dont deserve..
I mean "friendship personified" i guess is too much of an exaggeration for a person like me :(

Now its for u to find out who i am
Well read both the blogs today and found them really senti. Why is this sudden outburst of sentiment. But they really do mean something and should not be taken for fun. Correctly said. Very few speak from heart and people who do are considered senti as i had called u. Good work mam. Would like to see more of them and feel that there is a improvement in all the blogs irrespective of the subject.

The new one that u have wriiten has just few things to say. Need more improvement. Not as interesting as the other one. What happened? Has interest come down or were u in a hurry. Could have made it better.
